Many countries across the globe including the USA, France, Itlay, Isreal etc. are started vaccinating children to stop the chain of transmission. India is currently facing covid's Third-wave which leads to the death of lakhs of people in India. Initially Delta variant emerged as a reason for a sudden increase in covid cases in India and the world. Now a more Infectious covid variant known as Delta plus is the reason for the continuous increase in covid cases across the world.  To stop covid 4th wave India must need to vaccinate children.

 The government of India released a statement ' Bharat Biotechs Covaxin and Zydus Cadila are Testing Vaccines for children.  our Indian Jab Covaxin conducting phase 2 and 3 trials for Children aged between 2 to 18 and results are expected in September. the vaccine will be given through the Intramuscular route in two doses with an interval of 28 days. Vaccination for children may start next month.
